Coach Jimmy, aka “White Ape,” is no stranger to fitness and competition. Jimmy played competitive soccer and baseball as a kid and placed in the National Presidential Fitness Challenge. His focus in middle and high school turned to wrestling, gymnastics, and cheerleading. He earned a full-ride scholarship to Trinity Valley Community College for cheerleading, where he was part of the 1996 National Championship team and the 1996 Olympics Opening Ceremonies team. While at TVCC, Jimmy delved into amateur bodybuilding, following the teachings of the great Arnold “The Oak” Schwarzenegger. He joined the Army in 1997, earning multiple awards: Drill Sergeant School Distinguished Honor Graduate and Master Fitness Trainer, two of his favorites. In his 40s, Jimmy is still setting all-time personal records! Jimmy knows and believes God has directed his path to teaching life-long fitness.
Jimmy has competed in sports for over 40 years and has taught fitness and healthy living for over 30 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance in 2007. Jimmy founded MP CrossFit in 2009 and has loved teaching others about it every day since!
