Fittest in OK 2013

Coach Jimmy “White Ape” Ellis – Owner/Head Coach

Jimmy started CrossFit March 29, 2007 with “Filthy Fifty”…yuck! But has loved CrossFit ever since!! He is no stranger to fitness and competition. As a kid, Jimmy played competitive soccer, baseball, and placed in the State’s Presidential Fitness Challenge. In middle school into high school, my love turned to wrestling, gymnastics and cheerleading. He earned a full-ride scholarship to Trinity Valley Community College for cheerleading, where he was part of the 1996 National Championship team and the 1996 Olympics Opening Ceremonies team. While at TVCC, Jimmy delved in the world of amateur bodybuilding, following the teachings of the great Arnold “The Oak” Schwarzenegger. He then joined the Army in August of 1997, where he earned multiple awards: Drill Sergeant School Distinguished Honor Graduate and Master Fitness Trainer being two of his favs. He has run 2 full marathons, 4 half’s, and numerous 5 and 10k’s. In his 40’s, Jimmy is still setting all-time personal records! Jimmy knows God has directed his path, and believes it is the path of life-long fitness!

Per Jimmy: “My mission for MP is to train individuals in faith, character, self-discipline, and physical fitness, in order to enhance their quality of life. I am fully committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle—daily spiritual improvement, a devotion to family, balanced nutrition, and regular exercise. I truly believe that a person, properly trained in these areas of life, will have a joyous and fulfilling life experience. I believe creating a positive change in one person can start a chain reaction allowing them to positively affect others around them. I am devoted to aiding people in the never-ending quest of skill mastering, for unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow. Your ability determines what you are capable of doing. Motivation is what determines what you do. But, it is your attitude that determines how well you do it. I can teach you how to maximize your abilities, increase your motivation, and how to have a positive attitude; but the next step belongs to you.”

Coach Sarah Flynn – Owner/Head Coach

Sarah’s interest in physical fitness began through sports including gymnastics, cross country, and triathlons. As a graduate of the University of Wyoming, Sarah has always enjoyed outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and backpacking. Sarah joined MP in July 2015 and has been a competitive CrossFitter since January 2016. She immediately fell in love with CrossFit’s dynamic movements, challenging pace, and measurable programming. The supportive community and competitive camaraderie that CrossFit naturally evokes when people come together for an intense WOD is unmatched. Away from the gym, Coach Sarah is a middle school math teacher, and wholeheartedly believes that a fit body means a fit mind. To facilitate her in bringing the sport of CrossFit to her students, Sarah became a CF-L1 trainer in January 2018 and a certified CF-Kids trainer in March 2018. When Sarah isn’t teaching, WOD’n, or coaching, she can be found hanging out with her family and friends. Sarah enjoys activities such as cooking, watching movies, hiking, shooting, golfing, traveling, and back-packing.
